Now you just need to fill it up with cooking oil...

how do you clean out the dust bunnies that will stick to the inside?

Professor X said...

Well actually dust bunnies aren't much of a problem yet. We have had Rabbids.

the popup photo thing is cool but it sucks waiting a whole second for the actual photo to show! whatever!

did you use anythign to strengthen it at all? how did you make it keep its shape?

Professor X said...

The secret to it keeping its shape is the corrugation sandwiched between two thick panels of duct-tape.

Some people devote their lives to curing cancer or feeding the homeless.
Others build computer enclosures out of sticky tape.

Our server at work is like this.

Some people devote their lives to whining about what other people might devote their lives to -- others build neat projects, bringing joy and happiness to countless others -- who then go about their lives doing other neat and cool things, as well as doing all that "touchy-feelie"-stated crap. Get thyself a life. If you want to go cure cancer, have at it. If you want to feed the homeless, or house the hungry, carry thee forth and fight ye the good fight. But getteth thine ass out of mine face and quit harshin' mine buzz, bro'. Metaphysician, yield thyself, and ask not what others could do for your cause. If ya don't like duct tape servers, beat it and go to Archtecture for Humanity or TreeHugger or someplace else.

We now return to our normally scheduled "duct tape is cool" mediafest.

Very nice. How much tape went in to this?

Professor X said...

Too much! ;) Actually I think it was like 4-5 rolls of the grey stuff. 1/4 roll of the "transparent" stuff.

Hideous!

Yes well, we didn't set out to win beauty contests... You were talking about the pictures of ourselves and not the marvelous creation that is the Duct Tape Server correct? ;)
